Types of Printer Connections
For SimplyPrint to communicate with your printer, our software must be installed, enabled, or connected via supported hardware - the method depends on your printer type:
Smart Printers
WiFi & Klipper built-in. Install directly - no extra hardware! Some (K2, Kobra S1) use the client for full multi-material.
E.g. Ender-3 V3, Sovol SV07Cloud / Bridged Printers
Run via the SimplyPrint Client on an always-on device - full CFS/ACE multi-material control.
E.g. all Bambu Lab, Elegoo Centauri, Creality K2Traditional Printers
No WiFi. Need a Raspberry Pi with OctoPrint via USB.
E.g. Ender-3, Prusa MK3Locked Printers
Manufacturer-restricted. Requires "rooting" first.
