The VEHO 3A is the fully enclosed version of Tronxy's VEHO 3: 330 x 330 x 400 mm, Klipper firmware and 700 mm/s listed speed. It is for hobbyists and small workshops who want an enclosed Klipper printer for ABS, ASA and nylon at a modest price.

What works with SimplyPrint
Connected through Klipper (Moonraker), SimplyPrint supports most of what it offers on the Tronxy VEHO 3A: the camera and AI failure detection, remote printing, skipping objects, temperature and movement control and AutoPrint. Not yet in SimplyPrint through Klipper (Moonraker): download the file before the print starts.

What slicer to use for the Tronxy VEHO 3A
None of the slicers in SimplyPrint's cloud has a ready-made profile for the Tronxy VEHO 3A, but it takes standard G-code: start from a similar printer's profile and set the bed size, height and nozzle to match.
We only list slicers you can use in the SimplyPrint cloud, so there may be others for the Tronxy VEHO 3A.
Cloud-Based Slicer for Tronxy VEHO 3A
All supported slicers - directly in your browser with SimplyPrint's online cloud slicer. No installation required. Slice your Tronxy VEHO 3A models from any device, anywhere in the world!
Automatic Profile Updates: Profiles are automatically checked and fetched from the slicer GitHub repositories every day, as well as from our own open-source community-driven slicer profile database. This ensures you always have access to the latest profiles.
Note: Other slicers, such as Simplify3D, ideaMaker, SuperSlicer and KISSlicer, aren't in our cloud, so we don't track their profiles. They may still work well with your Tronxy VEHO 3A: check the slicer's own documentation or forums for a profile. You can also contribute profiles to our open-source slicer profile database on GitHub.
The app for the Tronxy VEHO 3A
Tronxy doesn't make an app for the Tronxy VEHO 3A. SimplyPrint works as its app: on your phone and in any browser, with a slicer in the cloud.
There's no plate swapper or auto-ejection kit for the Tronxy VEHO 3A in SimplyPrint yet, but AutoPrint can still keep it printing: once the plate is clear, it starts the next job from your queue.
Enclosed printers push their prints out
The Tronxy VEHO 3A's bed only moves up and down inside its enclosure, so instead of swapping plates, a push-off routine lets the toolhead push the cooled print off the plate and out through its front door, which has to be open while it runs. Some printers won't print with the door open (the Prusa CORE One has a door sensor), so check yours first.
Ways to automate it
Push prints off with the toolheadOn a CoreXY printer, a G-code routine can push the cooled print off the front of the plate before the next job starts.
Your own ejection G-codeWrite the routine that clears your plate, and AutoPrint runs it after every print.

Best filament for the Tronxy VEHO 3A
Filaments the Tronxy VEHO 3A prints well, Tronxy's own first, then the best known.
Choose the VEHO 3A when you want an enclosed Klipper printer with a 330 mm plate, for ABS, ASA, nylon and PC. The enclosure is what it adds over the VEHO 3; the VEHO 4A has a larger 400 x 400 plate. It has no independent review, and our facts list Ethernet, USB and SD but not Wi-Fi, so plan on a network cable.
Pros
Fully enclosed with a door, on a 330 x 330 x 400 mm build volume (Tronxy).
Klipper firmware at up to 700 mm/s, so it works with SimplyPrint through Klipper.
Four independent Z motors, 36-point auto-levelling, seven linear guides and an all-metal reinforced frame (Tronxy).
Removable magnetic PEI bed and a dual-drive large-gear extruder with resonance compensation (Tronxy).
Materials list in our facts includes ABS, ASA, nylon, PC and composites.
Cons
Our facts list Ethernet, USB and SD but not Wi-Fi, so it likely needs a network cable.
No camera in our facts.
No independent hands-on review found; 700 mm/s is Tronxy's headline, not a tested figure.
Express and air shipments are priced without import duties and taxes, which the buyer pays at customs; Tronxy lists sea shipments as tax-free, door to door.
Who it suits
SchoolsGood fit
Enclosed with a Klipper interface and SimplyPrint for approvals, but without a review we cannot vouch for reliability.
HobbyistsGood fit
An enclosed Klipper printer, if you accept the unproven reliability.
BusinessesCan work
Enclosed prototyping in ABS and nylon, with no independent track record.
Print farmsNot a good fit
No camera, no plate-swap kit in our facts and no reliability record for a fleet.

Tronxy (Shenzhen Tronxy Technology Co., Ltd) is a Shenzhen 3D printer maker whose founder built the company's first printer in 2013. It sells low- and mid-priced FDM printers, from the X5SA and XY-3 series up to the very large VEHO line (1,000 mm and more), plus Moore clay printers, through its own store, Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba and dealers. Buyers are hobbyists, schools and small businesses that want a large build volume for little money.
Mostly open: Marlin source on GitHub, Klipper on the newer large printers, open filament and no cloud. Documentation is thin, and firmware downloads go through an email request.
Firmware and custom firmware ●●●●●
Tronxy publishes Marlin source for its STM32/GD32 boards on GitHub (tronxy3d) under GPL-3.0, covering nearly 30 X5SA, XY, D01 and VEHO 500-800 variants, last updated February 2024. Its newer VEHO PRO and A series ship with Klipper, and it sells a Klipper upgrade kit for the X5SA.
[8][9][6][7]
Local control and integrations ●●●●●
We found no Tronxy cloud service or account. The Klipper VEHO PRO prints from a USB flash drive or over a USB data cable, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, all on your own premises, and Tronxy publishes the Marlin source for its X5SA and XY printers, which host software such as OctoPrint drives over USB.
[7][9][11]
Third-party filament, slicers and parts ●●●●●
Open filament (1.75 mm, with 2.85 mm print heads for the VEHO) and standard G-code, which any slicer produces. VEHO hotends and print heads such as the Ext06 are Tronxy's own parts.
[6][7]
Repairs and spare parts ●●●●●
Tronxy's store sells model-specific mainboards, hotends, nozzles and extruder kits for current and older lines (X5SA, XY, VEHO), including Klipper-version parts.
[6]
Community and documentation ●●●●●
Firmware source and build steps are on GitHub, and upstream Klipper ships configs for eight Tronxy models. Tronxy's own download page asks owners to email for the right firmware instead of offering it directly.
[4][8][10]
Pros
Very large build volumes for the price, up to 1,000 mm and more in the VEHO line.
Marlin source is public on GitHub, and the newer VEHO models run open-source Klipper.
No cloud or account: print over USB, memory card, Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Spare mainboards, hotends and nozzles sold for current and older models.
Cons
Firmware on Tronxy's website is by email request rather than a direct download.
Dozens of models and variants with similar names (the published firmware alone covers nearly 30), so check carefully which firmware and parts fit.
VEHO hotends and print heads are Tronxy-specific parts.
Track record
October 2022: Tronxy began publishing Marlin source for its STM32F446/GD32-based boards on GitHub (tronxy3d) under GPL-3.0; it updated it until February 2024.
[8][9]
December 2020: Tronxy launched the XY-3 SE on Kickstarter; the company says shipping finished in April 2021.
