Raise3D E3 at a glance
The E3 is Raise3D's enclosed IDEX printer: two independent extruders, a 330 x 240 x 240 mm volume (295 mm wide in dual mode), a 330 °C hotend and a HEPA filter with activated charcoal. It is for businesses and labs that print flexible and composite materials, or duplicate small parts in mirror and duplication modes.

Connect the Raise3D E3 to SimplyPrint
Does the Raise3D E3 3D printer work with SimplyPrint, OctoPrint, Mainsail and Fluidd? Each way of connecting it, what it needs, and how to set it up.
-
Klipper (Moonraker)
Not expected to work
Ships Raise3D's own embedded-Linux firmware (ideaMaker, RaiseCloud, Raise3D API); no Klipper or Moonraker mentioned. Source
-
OctoPrint
Directly, over USB
Not expected to work
No USB device port for a computer: the USB ports are host ports for flash drives, and the motion controller is driven by Raise3D's embedded-Linux logic board (ideaMaker, RaiseCloud, Raise3D API). Not expected to work as shipped. Source
No known way to connect it to SimplyPrint
Unfortunately, the Raise3D E3 is currently not, to our knowledge, compatible with OctoPrint, Mainsail, Fluidd, or SimplyPrint. For the best 3D printing experience, consider other 3D printers that are compatible with these softwares.
How we determine compatibility
We consider a printer compatible if it works with one or more of the following:
- SimplyPrint custom integration for this specific model
- OctoPrint support (requires the printer to support serial printing)
- Klipper support (printer can run Klipper, either by flashing compatible firmware or using an external controller/pad)
OctoPrint compatibility is primarily based on whether the printer supports serial communication. If serial printing is not supported, we mark OctoPrint as not compatible.
Note: Some printers have third-party OctoPrint plugins that enable unofficial/custom connections. We don’t maintain a list of these plugins, so they are not reflected in our compatibility data.
What slicer to use for the Raise3D E3
Use Raise3D's own slicer, ideaMaker: none of the slicers in SimplyPrint's cloud has a profile for the Raise3D E3, and it doesn't take standard G-code that we know of.

When to choose the Raise3D E3
Choose the E3 for TPU and composite work from a professional maker: with Raise3D's Flexible Filament Auxiliary Feeder it prints TPU up to 200 mm/s, and an optional composite print head handles PET-CF, PET-GF and PPS-CF. It succeeds the E2 and E2CF and launched at $2,499 in 2025. We found no independent review, and our data rates Klipper and OctoPrint as unlikely for it, so we hold no confirmed way to connect it to SimplyPrint. If you want an enclosed printer that works with SimplyPrint through OctoPrint for less, see the Prusa CORE One+.
Pros
- Independent dual extruders with mirror, duplication, dual-colour and dual-material modes (Raise3D).
- Fully enclosed, with a HEPA and activated-charcoal filter and a noise level Raise3D gives as under 55 dB(A) (Raise3D).
- Fast TPU printing up to 200 mm/s with the optional auxiliary feeder, and an optional composite head (Raise3D).
- Two desiccant material slots, filament run-out sensors, power-loss recovery and 9-point levelling (Raise3D).
- Wi-Fi, LAN, USB and a live camera (Raise3D).
Cons
- No confirmed way to connect it to SimplyPrint: Klipper and OctoPrint are rated unlikely in our data.
- Launched at $2,499 (3D Printing Industry), which is a lot for a 330 x 240 x 240 mm printer.
- The optional parts, the auxiliary feeder and composite head, cost extra, and maximum volumetric speed is 16 mm³/s (Raise3D).
- We found no independent review.
Who it suits
-
Schools Can work
Enclosed, filtered and under 55 dB(A), but the price is high and SimplyPrint can't run it today.
-
Hobbyists Can work
Capable dual-extruder printing for TPU and composites, but expensive for hobby use.
-
Businesses Good fit
A professional enclosed IDEX for flexible and composite parts, though no independent review exists and the SimplyPrint connection is unconfirmed.
-
Print farms Not a good fit
No confirmed SimplyPrint connection and a high price per unit make a fleet a poor fit.
