Filament compatibility for the Tiertime UP600 HS: the materials Tiertime lists for it.
| Filament | Suitability | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PLA | Great | The easiest filament to print. Works on almost any printer; a heated bed helps adhesion but is not required. |
| PETG | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| TPU & flexibles | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| ABS & ASA | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |

When to choose the Tiertime UP600 HS
Choose the UP600 HS when a closed machine with a tall 600 mm build height and filtered air matters more than speed: it prints at up to 200 mm/s. Its 299 °C extruder covers ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PC, nylon and composites. For a heated chamber and a 400 °C extruder, the UP400 Pro is the higher-spec Tiertime; for large builds at lower cost see the open-frame Tronxy VEHO printers.
Pros
- 500 x 400 x 600 mm build volume in a fully enclosed machine (Tiertime).
- HEPA and activated-carbon filtration, and printing pauses when the front door opens (Tiertime).
- Handles ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PC, PC-ABS, nylon, PET-CF, PP-GF and PPS filaments (Tiertime).
- Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB and USB stick, a 7-inch touchscreen and a Tiertime Print Queue for several users (Tiertime).
- Out-of-filament detection, automatic levelling and pause to change filament (Tiertime).
Cons
- Print speed is limited to 200 mm/s and 5,000 mm/s² acceleration, slow for a printer this size.
- Extruder tops out at 299 °C with a single extruder, which limits the hottest materials.
- No confirmed SimplyPrint connection method in our facts: Klipper is incompatible and OctoPrint is unknown.
- No camera in our facts, and no independent hands-on review found.
Who it suits
-
Schools Can work
Enclosed and filtered, but very large and costly for a classroom, and we cannot confirm a SimplyPrint connection for approval queues.
-
Hobbyists Not a good fit
Big, expensive and slow for what most hobbyists print.
-
Businesses Good fit
Large closed engineering-plastic parts, with Tiertime's own queue rather than SimplyPrint.
-
Print farms Not a good fit
200 mm/s, no confirmed SimplyPrint connection and no camera or plate-swap kit in our facts.
