Turn one Bambu A1 into a hands-off mini print farm

The Innocube3D Swapmod is a physical plate swapper for the Bambu Lab A1. SimplyPrint AutoPrint starts each queued job, the Swapmod ejects the finished plate and loads a fresh one from the stack, and the next job begins automatically, no firmware changes and no babysitting.

What is the Innocube3D Swapmod?

A mechanical plate-swapping bed clearing method

The Innocube3D Swapmod is a fully mechanical plate swapper built specifically for the Bambu Lab A1. After a print finishes, it ejects the entire build plate and loads a fresh blank plate from a finite stack, so the printer can keep going on its own for several plates in a row.

Because it relies on motion alone, there are no firmware flashes and no wiring changes to your A1. The Swapmod installs in about 5 minutes. In SimplyPrint, it is handled as a cycle-dependent clearing method: you set how many plates the stack holds, and AutoPrint counts down each swap so the fleet stops cleanly when the stack runs out.

This page covers the SimplyPrint side, how AutoPrint, the print queue and smart matching drive the Swapmod, and how to set it up. For full product details and to buy the hardware, see the Innocube3D Swapmod integration page.

How it works in SimplyPrint

Once the Swapmod is mounted on your A1, getting it running in SimplyPrint takes three steps.

1. Connect your A1 and enable AutoPrint

Add your Bambu Lab A1 to SimplyPrint as usual, then turn on AutoPrint for that printer.

2. Pick Innocube3D Swapmod + set max cycles

Choose the Swapmod as the clearing method and set your max plate count to match the stack you loaded. AutoPrint stops there.

3. Queue jobs and walk away

Add jobs to the print queue. AutoPrint starts each one, the Swapmod swaps plates between prints, and the fleet runs hands-off.

Frequently asked questions

The Innocube3D Swapmod is built specifically for the Bambu Lab A1. It installs in about 5 minutes with no firmware flashing or wiring changes, since it is a fully mechanical plate swapper.
It depends on your plate stack. The Swapmod loads fresh plates from a finite stack, so the number of unattended prints equals the number of plates you load. In SimplyPrint you set that count as the max cycles, and AutoPrint counts down each swap and stops cleanly when the stack is empty.
Yes, the Swapmod hardware is sold separately by Innocube3D. On the SimplyPrint side you need AutoPrint, which is included on Pro (1 license, up to 5) and unlimited on Print Farm, Enterprise and Education.
With manual clearing, someone has to be present to remove each finished print before the next job starts. The Swapmod swaps the whole plate mechanically between jobs, so your A1 keeps printing through the queue overnight or while you are away, with no one standing by.
Yes. This is the core workflow. SimplyPrint AutoPrint pulls jobs from your print queue, starts each one, triggers a Swapmod plate swap when a print finishes, and moves to the next queued job until the queue is done or the plate stack runs out.
