Setting up SimplyPrint on Anycubic Kobra 3
Easy steps to connect your Anycubic Kobra 3 3D printer to SimplyPrint.
Your Anycubic Kobra requires custom firmware to work with SimplyPrint.
We know that sounds technical — and it is one of the more involved setups — but we've worked hard to make it as straightforward as possible.
Some printer manufacturers don't provide an easy way for platforms like SimplyPrint to communicate with their printers. The community has developed alternative firmware that unlocks these capabilities.
Yes! The firmware is developed by active communities, can typically be removed, and preserves your printer's core functionality. You can usually roll back or factory reset if needed.
Some manufacturers may consider custom firmware a warranty modification. The risk is low — to date, we haven't had a single known case of a SimplyPrint user damaging their printer or being denied warranty repair because of this setup.
That said, it's ultimately your choice to proceed.

Welcome to the Anycubic Kobra setup guide for SimplyPrint!
In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to connect your Anycubic Kobra to SimplyPrint using Rinkhals, a custom firmware that enhances functionality while maintaining stock Anycubic features.
This guide is inspired by the excellent work of jbatonnet. For the latest updates and more detailed information, please visit the official Rinkhals GitHub repository.
This guide currently supports the following Anycubic Kobra models:
The Kobra X is not currently supported by Rinkhals. While some firmware packages are publicly available, Anycubic changed the underlying software on the Kobra X from the GoKlipper base (used in the Kobra 3 series) to a new C++ Klipper port, making it fundamentally different from the printers Rinkhals currently supports. On top of that, the Kobra X requires a trusted certificate for firmware updates, which prevents the SWU-based installation method that Rinkhals relies on. Until these challenges are resolved, Kobra X support is not expected.
Other newer Kobra printers not listed here may also not yet be supported, but could be in the future.
If your Anycubic Kobra printer is not listed above, it may not be compatible with Rinkhals yet. Check back later: Newer Kobra models may be supported in the future. For updates, visit the Rinkhals GitHub repository. Using another printer? It may still be compatible with SimplyPrint using serial printing (OctoPrint setup) or a regular Klipper setup. Go back to the SimplyPrint setup guide and see other supported methods.
The recommended way to install Rinkhals is using the Rinkhals Installer, which adds a management interface directly on your printer's touchscreen.
