With the SimplyPrint plugin for OrcaSlicer, you can send your sliced 3D print files directly from OrcaSlicer to your SimplyPrint account. No more SD cards or USB sticks - just click print and watch your 3D printer go to work.
OrcaSlicer is an open-source slicer developed by SoftFever. Visit the official OrcaSlicer website for downloads and more information.
Add the SimplyPrint plugin
In OrcaSlicer, open your printer settings and add SimplyPrint as the connected host. It takes about a minute, with no firmware changes.
Slice with your own profiles
Slice the model exactly as you do today, using your existing OrcaSlicer machine and filament profiles.
Send to SimplyPrint and print
Click send and the sliced file lands in SimplyPrint. Print now, add it to the queue, or save it for later - on any printer in your account.
Yes. The OrcaSlicer plugin and sending files to SimplyPrint are free, and SimplyPrint's free plan lets you connect a printer and print wirelessly.
It works with any printer you have connected to SimplyPrint - 130+ brands and 600+ models through OctoPrint, Klipper or a built-in integration. OrcaSlicer simply hands the sliced file to SimplyPrint.
Yes. You slice in OrcaSlicer with your own machine and filament profiles. SimplyPrint only handles sending, queueing and monitoring the print.
Yes. Once a print starts you can watch the camera, follow progress and pause or stop it from the SimplyPrint web panel or the mobile app, from anywhere.
OrcaSlicer 2.4.0 added a per-printer option called "Use 3MF instead of G-code", and it ships turned off. A Bambu Lab printer in Cloud mode cannot accept a raw .gcode file, so the job reaches SimplyPrint but the printer is never offered as a match for it. Open Printer settings in OrcaSlicer, find "Use 3MF instead of G-code" under Basic information, and turn it on. You may need to switch OrcaSlicer to Advanced mode before the option is visible. Slice and send again and the file arrives as a .gcode.3mf that the printer accepts. The setting is saved with the printer preset, so this is a one-time change per printer.
No. Only printers that expect a 3MF package as the print job need it, which in practice means Bambu Lab printers in Cloud mode. Bambu Lab printers in LAN mode can read raw .gcode, and so can the vast majority of other printers, so leave the option off unless your printer rejects plain G-code.
Integration for SimplyPrint allows for applications to interact with your 3D printers, and your 3D printers to interact with other applications. This allows for endless possibilities, and we strongly believe that your 3D printer should be able to function as an IOT device, working together with any and all applications you can imagine!
This is why the team behind SimplyPrint work to provide official integrations for the most popular platforms, slicer and applications, while also allowing our users to create custom integrations using our API, or for approved third party vendors to create integrations to be used by all SimplyPrint users, using a "Log in with SimplyPrint" method (using the "OAuth2" method).
If you're a developer interested in creating an integration for SimplyPrint, please read our documentation on the subject.
If you're not a developer yourself, but would like to see an integration for a specific application, go check if it's already on our roadmap or suggestion list, and if not, feel free to suggest it!
