Built-in to SimplyPrint - start using
One of the ways to connect your 3D printer(s) to SimplyPrint is through Mainsail.
Mainsail uses "Moonraker", which is an underlying API server for Klipper, and Moonraker has native SimplyPrint support!
In a collaboration with the developer of Moonraker, Eric (Arksine), we have made it possible to connect your Klipper printer to SimplyPrint with Mainsail with
no additional install being required - it's built-in as a module you can simply enable in your Moonraker config, by adding [simplyprint] on a new line in the bottom of the Moonraker config!
SimplyPrint takes your Mainsail-powered 3D printer(s) to the next level, allowing you to access them anywhere, anytime, from any device, along with
a bunch of other smart features, multi-printer friendly platform, and a lot more!
How to get started? Simply sign up for SimplyPrint, and follow the instructions - it only takes a couple of minutes!
Open your Moonraker config
Mainsail runs on Moonraker, and Moonraker ships with SimplyPrint support built in. There is nothing extra to install - you just enable the module.
Add the [simplyprint] section
Add [simplyprint] on a new line at the bottom of your Moonraker config, then save and restart Moonraker. The module is the result of a collaboration with Moonraker's developer.
Link the printer in SimplyPrint
Sign up, open the panel and follow the prompts to connect. Your Mainsail-powered Klipper printer appears in SimplyPrint, ready to control from anywhere.
Enable Moonraker's built-in [simplyprint] module and link the printer to SimplyPrint. You then reach your Klipper printer over the cloud from any browser or the mobile app, without exposing Mainsail to the internet yourself.
No. SimplyPrint support is built into Moonraker, the API server that powers Mainsail. You enable it by adding [simplyprint] to your Moonraker config - there is no separate plugin to install.
Yes. SimplyPrint's free plan lets you connect a Klipper printer running Mainsail and control it remotely. The Moonraker module that makes the connection is free and open source.
Yes. Mainsail keeps working exactly as before on your local network. SimplyPrint adds cloud access, queueing, camera monitoring and multi-printer management on top.
Yes. Once connected you can watch the camera, follow progress and pause or stop the print from the SimplyPrint web panel or the mobile app, wherever you are.
Integration for SimplyPrint allows for applications to interact with your 3D printers, and your 3D printers to interact with other applications. This allows for endless possibilities, and we strongly believe that your 3D printer should be able to function as an IOT device, working together with any and all applications you can imagine!
This is why the team behind SimplyPrint work to provide official integrations for the most popular platforms, slicer and applications, while also allowing our users to create custom integrations using our API, or for approved third party vendors to create integrations to be used by all SimplyPrint users, using a "Log in with SimplyPrint" method (using the "OAuth2" method).
If you're a developer interested in creating an integration for SimplyPrint, please read our documentation on the subject.
If you're not a developer yourself, but would like to see an integration for a specific application, go check if it's already on our roadmap or suggestion list, and if not, feel free to suggest it!
