What is the best software to manage a 3D print farm?
The right tool centralises a shared print queue, automation (1-click bulk start, continuous AutoPrint) and maintenance, and works across any brand so you're not locked in. SimplyPrint does all of it from one screen and supports 130+ brands. In our 2026 survey, farms running 5 to 140 printers named the print queue the feature they'd miss most.
Which 3D printers and brands does it work with?
130+ brands and 610+ models - Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Elegoo, Anycubic and more, mixed in one farm. Connect however suits each printer: install directly on the printer, use the SimplyPrint Client, or run a Raspberry Pi. Check the compatibility list for your models.
How many printers can one person manage with it?
There's no limit, and the point is letting one person run more printers: surveyed farms reported saving 3 to 20+ hours a week, most lifted output 15-50% with the same team, and one 140-printer farm manages roughly twice as many printers with the same staff. One operator comfortably runs dozens from the queue.
Can I automate orders from Etsy, Shopify or ShipStation?
Yes, via the REST API and webhooks - push orders from your storefront into the queue and fire a webhook when each job finishes, with code or no-code tools like Zapier, n8n and Activepieces (Make is coming soon). You can even ask an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini CLI) to queue jobs or check the farm through our MCP server. Several farms run their store straight into their fleet this way. What happens if my internet or SimplyPrint goes down?
Your printers don't become useless. A print started through SimplyPrint is downloaded to the printer, so it keeps going, and we pick the progress back up when you reconnect. SimplyPrint also runs at 99.9%+ uptime (tracked live on our status page).
Are my customers' files private?
Yes. Files in your SimplyPrint cloud are visible only to you and the team you grant access - never exposed to the internet, and SimplyPrint staff can't view their contents. Files sent to a printer but not stored are single-use and auto-removed after 24 hours.
