## About

The SimplyPrint add-in for Alibre Design bridges the gap between CAD design and 3D printing.
Model in Alibre, then send your part or assembly straight to your printer in a single click - no separate export step, no juggling files between programs.

The add-in adds a **SimplyPrint** button to Alibre's **Add-on** ribbon tab, available in the Part and Assembly workspaces.
Pick **STL** or **3MF**, choose which configuration, bodies or components to export, dial in the mesh quality, and check the estimated filament weight before you hit **Send**. SimplyPrint then opens in your browser with the model loaded - ready to slice, queue, or print.

The add-in runs on **Windows** (Alibre Design itself is Windows-only). Install it with the Windows installer below, or register it manually using the zip - the steps for both are below.





#### How to install

##### Option 1 - Windows installer (recommended)




- Download the installer:

- Right-click the installer and choose **Run as administrator** - registering the add-in needs admin rights. If Windows SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, click **More info → Run anyway**.

- Click through the installer - it copies the add-in into %PROGRAMDATA%\Alibre AddOns\SimplyPrint and registers it with Alibre for you.

- Open Alibre Design (or restart it if it was already running). On the **Add-on** ribbon tab, open the **Add-on Manager**, tick **SimplyPrint**, and click **OK**. The **SimplyPrint** button then appears in the **Add-on** tab whenever you have a part or assembly open.


##### Option 2 - Manual install




- Download the zip:

- Extract the zip into %PROGRAMDATA%\Alibre AddOns\SimplyPrint so the .dll, .adc and icon sit directly inside that folder.

- From an administrator command prompt, register the add-in by adding a registry value that points Alibre at that folder:
reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Alibre Design Add-Ons" /v 5A71F41D-B204-4A72-BE0B-6B4A42EC5EF0 /t REG_SZ /d "%PROGRAMDATA%\Alibre AddOns\SimplyPrint" /f

- Start Alibre, open the **Add-on Manager** on the **Add-on** ribbon tab, tick **SimplyPrint**, and click **OK**.




#### Getting started

Open a part or assembly, then click the **SimplyPrint** button on the **Add-on** ribbon tab to open the dialog.
Click **Log in** the first time - a browser tab opens, you approve the request, and you're set for future sessions.
Pick the format, configuration, scope and mesh quality you want. The dialog shows an estimated filament weight and the model's bounding-box size, then you hit **Send to SimplyPrint**.
Your browser opens SimplyPrint with the model uploaded, ready to slice, queue, or print on one or more printers.

## Key features

- Export STL or 3MF directly from Alibre Design to SimplyPrint (the add-in writes 3MF itself, since Alibre has no native 3MF export)
