## Automate the MINGDA Raptor 450

### Ways to automate it

- [Your own ejection G-code](https://simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/custom): Write the routine that clears your plate, and AutoPrint runs it after every print.
- [A robot arm, or anything with an API](https://simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/api): Tell SimplyPrint the plate is clear through the API or a webhook, from a robot arm or your own system.
- [Clear it by hand, keep the queue](https://simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/manual-mode): AutoPrint waits for you to mark the plate clear, then starts the next job.

Filament compatibility for the MINGDA Raptor 450: the materials MINGDA lists for it.

| Filament | Suitability | Notes |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| PLA | Great | The easiest filament to print. Works on almost any printer; a heated bed helps adhesion but is not required. |
| PETG | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| TPU & flexibles | Great | The direct-drive extruder feeds flexible filament well. Print slowly for clean results. |
| ABS & ASA | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| Nylon (PA) | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| Polycarbonate (PC) | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |

## When to choose the MINGDA Raptor 450

Choose the Raptor 450 when you need the hottest chamber Mingda offers in a machine that runs from a 220 V supply: it lists PEEK, ABS, ASA, PC, nylon and filled grades, plus duplicate and mirror modes that double output for small parts (copy mode gives two 225 x 450 x 500 mm areas). For larger parts, the Raptor 800 and 1200 are bigger but have an 80 °C chamber. We found no independent review.

### Pros

- A 120 °C actively heated chamber, a 500 °C hotend and a 130 °C bed for high-temperature materials such as PEEK (Mingda).
- Independent dual extruders with duplicate and mirror modes (Mingda).
- A 450 x 450 x 500 mm build volume that runs from a 220 V supply at 3,200 W (Mingda).
- HEPA filtration, door-open detection, AI defect detection and power-loss recovery (Mingda).
- Runs Klipper, and is expected to work with SimplyPrint through Klipper (not yet confirmed).

### Cons

- Duplicate mode halves the build width to 225 mm per part, and mirror mode to 195 mm (Mingda).
- Spools are limited to 1 kg each in the filament holder (Mingda).
- We found no independent review and Mingda lists no price.
- SimplyPrint compatibility is expected rather than confirmed, and no camera is listed.

### Who it suits

- Schools: Not a good fit. A 120 °C chamber and a 500 °C hotend are not classroom territory.
- Hobbyists: Not a good fit. An industrial high-temperature machine that few hobbyists need.
- Businesses: Good fit. A rare heated-chamber machine for PEEK and engineering grades with IDEX duplicate output; untested by reviewers.
- Print farms: Can work. Duplicate mode multiplies output, but 1 kg spools, no camera listed and no plate-clearing kit in our sources weigh on a fleet.
