## Automate the MINGDA Raptor 1200

### Ways to automate it

- [Your own ejection G-code](https://simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/custom): Write the routine that clears your plate, and AutoPrint runs it after every print.
- [A robot arm, or anything with an API](https://simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/api): Tell SimplyPrint the plate is clear through the API or a webhook, from a robot arm or your own system.
- [Clear it by hand, keep the queue](https://simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/manual-mode): AutoPrint waits for you to mark the plate clear, then starts the next job.

## What filament can the MINGDA Raptor 1200 print?

Filament compatibility for the MINGDA Raptor 1200: the materials MINGDA lists for it.

| Filament | Suitability | Notes |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| PLA | Great | The easiest filament to print. Works on almost any printer; a heated bed helps adhesion but is not required. |
| PETG | Great | Comfortably in range (PETG likes a ~230-250C hotend and a ~70-85C bed). |
| TPU & flexibles | With care | Possible, but a Bowden extruder makes flexibles harder - print slowly and prefer firmer (higher-shore) TPU. |
| ABS & ASA | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| Nylon (PA) | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| Polycarbonate (PC) | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |
| Carbon-fiber & glass-filled | Great | On the maker's list of materials for this printer. |

## When to choose the MINGDA Raptor 1200

Choose the Raptor 1200 only when you need a 1.2 m cube of engineering-grade material in one piece and have the site for it: it needs three-phase 380 V power at up to 12,000 W and stands about 2 m tall and wide. For a smaller heated-chamber machine, the Raptor 800 or the 450 IDEX cost less and need less. We found no independent review and Mingda lists no price, so ask for references and sample prints.

### Pros

- A 1200 x 1200 x 1200 mm build volume with an 80 °C heated chamber and bellows cover for large ABS, ASA and PC parts (Mingda).
- A 500 °C dual extruder, a 110 °C bed and a wide material list including PA, PPS-CF, PC-CF and PET-GF (Mingda).
- HEPA filtration, door-open detection and AI defect detection (Mingda).
- Servo motors, power-loss recovery, remote monitoring and a 15.6-inch touchscreen (Mingda).
- Runs Klipper, and is expected to work with SimplyPrint through Klipper (not yet confirmed).

### Cons

- Needs three-phase 380 V power and up to 12,000 W (Mingda).
- A machine of 2006 x 1980 x 1975 mm, so it needs a dedicated space.
- We found no independent review and Mingda lists no price.
- SimplyPrint compatibility is expected rather than confirmed, and no camera is listed.

### Who it suits

- Schools: Not a good fit. An industrial three-phase machine, far beyond a classroom.
- Hobbyists: Not a good fit. The size, power and cost put it out of reach for hobby use.
- Businesses: Can work. Unusually large heated-chamber engineering parts, but untested by reviewers and a major site commitment.
- Print farms: Not a good fit. One enormous machine per site, not a fleet of identical printers.
