## About Kentstrapper

Kentstrapper (Kentstrapper srl) is a Florence maker of professional FFF printers. Brothers Lorenzo and Luciano Cantini started it in 2009 from the RepRap project and founded the company in 2011; its Zero (2014) was its first printer for professional use. It builds CoreXY and Cartesian printers from 320 mm cubes up to a one-metre machine, sold or rented; the customers it lists include Italian fashion and leather-goods houses, manufacturers and research institutes, and it targets technical schools.

- Firmware and custom firmware: 3/5. Current printers run what Kentstrapper calls a customised Klipper on a Raspberry Pi and 32-bit board. Klipper is open source, but we found no published source for Kentstrapper's changes: its GitHub account holds 2012 RepRap-era repositories and an OrcaSlicer profile repository.
- Local control and integrations: 4/5. The Zero HS and Zero PRO run a customised Klipper on a Raspberry Pi, connect over Wi-Fi, LAN or USB, and are controlled through a web interface with a built-in AI assistant (Clara); an optional webcam adds remote monitoring. We found no Kentstrapper cloud account requirement, but Kentstrapper does not say which web stack it uses or whether a documented API is open to other software.
- Third-party filament, slicers and parts: 4/5. Standard 1.75 mm filament, and OrcaSlicer (open source) is the recommended slicer. The hotend is an off-the-shelf Dragon UHF, mounted in Kentstrapper's own magnetic S.E.M. head.
- Repairs and spare parts: 3/5. Kentstrapper says spare parts are kept in stock and shipped quickly, with support from the team that builds the printers (its 3D Shield programme). We found no public parts shop or repair guides.
- Community and documentation: 2/5. A small user base; manuals and firmware updates sit in a download area and a help desk, and public documentation is limited.
